The Ioffe Institute the largest research center in Russia was founded by Academician Abram Ioffe, the world-known physicist in Solid State and Semiconductors.

Electrotechnical (Electrical Engineering) Univerisity is the first Electrotechnical Highest School in Russia where the first elected rector was Professor A. Popov, the inventor of the Russian radio. 

Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology is one of 70 Japan National universities. It has two different campuses in Koganei (T) and Fuchu (A). Technology Faculty in Koganei is younger and building up at present.
